***Pathway to Success is BDO's summer leadership program which offers both a national program in Chicago (June 26-28), and regional programs throughout the country. The Michigan Regional program will be June 12th-13th in the Detroit area. These programs are not internships.***

BDO’s summer leadership program, Pathway to Success offers accounting students from across the country the opportunity to explore various topics such as leadership, networking, and careers in public accounting. We know that mapping out your future is no easy task. BDO's Pathway to Success summer leadership program is designed to help you make sense of it all by providing an inside look at our firm and the public accounting profession in general.

These annual local, regional and national programs are a unique and innovative offering designed specifically for college students who have completed their sophomore or junior year.

Get a First Look at Public Accounting
•Gain insight into the public accounting profession
•Attend presentations on topics including:
o Day in the life of an accountant
o Professionalism
o Networking
o The recruiting process

Explore BDO
•Interact with firm leadership and other client service professionals
•Hear BDO professionals share their stories and offer advice
•Get to know the BDO Campus Recruiters

Meet New Faces and Experience New Places
•Be one of an elite group of students chosen from across the nation for this prestigious opportunity
•Network with peers from other top accounting programs
•Participate in student/BDO professional social activities

In order to be eligible for consideration as a Pathway to Success attendee, students must be:
•A current or expected accounting major and/or relevant field
•Finished with sophomore or junior year as of June 2018 (1 – 2 years left towards bachelors/masters)
•Personally and academically motivated
•Continuously distinguished in the classroom, on campus and in the community
•Available for travel to the local, regional or national programs
•Prepare the following documents and submit with your application:
o Cover letter addressing
•Why you are interested in a career in public accounting
•What you hope to achieve by attending Pathway to Success
o Current résumé
o Unofficial transcript (PDF/Word document with screen prints acceptable)

NOTE: Current, upcoming and past interns or associates are not eligible.
