|LEG room at SAC|
This is a wonderful opportunity for UT Austin students! If you are familiar with the TED Lectures, you may also be aware of TEDMED which is focused on medicine. (if you don¹t know about ³TED², you should check out the site here: http://www.ted.com/. The TEMDMED link is below!)
What is TEDMED?
TEDMED is a community of people who are passionate about imagining the future of health and medicine. Once a year, TEDMED holds a "grand gathering" where leaders from all sectors of society come together for three and a half days. They explore the promise of technology and the potential of human achievement. Together, they weave a tapestry that combines the best thinking from every field and creates infinite new possibilities.
The simulcast, which is only available to select research universities, will be in the LEG room at the Students Activities Center (SAC) next Wednesday, April 11, starting at 8:30 am. It is being hosted by the McCombs student health care group. The Vice Provost for Health Affairs Office is providing breakfast and lunch.
Dr. Bill Sage, MD, JD and Vice Provost for Health Affairs, will be at the event for the majority of the day. He will be talking with attendees about the impact of Malpractice Insurance on the practice of medicine!
Anyone is welcome to drop by, watch for a while, and have some refreshments!
