The Sales Intern will implement and maintain a variety of support functions for the Sales teams such as alignment and monitoring the sales effort within the team. Participates in the organization and coordination of sales meetings, preparing budgets, coordinating sales training and development programs. May develop analyses to measure trends, efficiencies and effectiveness of sales resource allocation and utilization.


What we offer
• Works cross-functionally with internal teams as well as providing operations support to external partners while influencing sales indirectly
• Finance: Work closely with sales manager handling promotional budget/deductions in the system
• Process and clear deductions upon approval from Sales Manager
• Create and Track Long Term Conditions (CBF Accruals)/ close expired LTCs
• Create Promotions (Post Audit and maintain placeholders)
• Track and communicate Net Unsettled Accrued Funds by Customer and Franchise
• Track and communicate overspend by customer/ franchise Marketing /Sales Support: Act as the "go to person" for external partners on various requests; such as: Completing new item setup forms, product mailings, provide POS material, and other customer driven requests • Assist department with new product launches
• Participate on internal marketing meetings and keep track of obsolete inventory / new launches
• Works closely with "off-site" support team on Sales Reports
• Manages weekly Sales report while interacting with Customer Service Team
• Assist with partner management on any new initiatives or opportunities Operations Support: Contribute to the department’s sales success by assisting behind the scenes on seamless operations execution: Cultivate strong working relationship and partnerships with internal/external teams
• Manage and track shipments to ensure maximized timely and complete order fulfillment for all accounts
• Customer Service: monitors and expedite order entry and shipment
• Supply Chain: provide 6 months rolling forecast
• Point of contact between Sales team and Customer Service on pricing discrepancies
• Maintains Customer’s Price Order Forms in conjunction with Offsite support team
• Closely monitor monthly sales with Sales Manager by processing and reviewing weekly open order reports
• Manages customer’s claims in conjunction with customer service/claims department
Who we are looking for
• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a sales, marketing, business, management, or related discipline
• Possess strict attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities. Takes initiative / sense of urgency
• Critical Thinking – identifies problems and solutions that others might miss
• Resourceful – consults with others on problems and activities; collects information from a range of sources to assist and guide job activities; asks effective questions to obtain information to help him/her perform the task at hand
• Dependable / team player / friendly and supportive disposition
• Excels in customer service
• Project management – able to manage projects ensuring milestone and deadlines are met
• Some travel may be required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experienced user of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
