We currently have an exciting opening for a chemistry teaching position in Atlanta. Candidates must be capable of teaching a variety of classes, focusing on chemistry and physical science classes. The ideal candidate will also be able to successfully teach one section of algebra. Other duties include serving as an adviser to students and supervising extracurricular activities. We are looking for candidates that have at least a minor in chemistry or a major that is chemistry or physical science related.

For middle and high school positions, schools focus on candidates’ degrees in applicable subject areas. State licensure/certification can be a plus, but it’s not a requirement.

• Certification is preferred for art, physical education, and music teacher positions.
• Librarians and media specialists must hold an MLS or comparable degrees.
• School counselors must hold advanced degrees in counselor education.
