Position Information

Progressive Residential Services of New Mexico (PRS-NM) provides services to clients with developmental and intellectual disabilities. PRS-NM is now hiring for a part-time LPN.


The LPN will utilize nursing knowledge and skills in the safe implementation of basic preventative and rehabilitative nursing care to all persons served while ensuring that they receive the appropriate and necessary daily care. The LPN will understand and comply with Regulatory Agency Policies including Funding Agencies, Licensing, and CARF.


Must have the ability to be on call 24 hours/7 days
Provide medical services, which may include total care, under the direction of the Registered Nurse following appropriate training.
Transport persons served to medical services, as well as coordinating, monitoring and evaluating care as assigned.
Transport persons served to community events.
Implementation and data collection: charting and recording medications for persons served, within established policies and guidelines.
Ability to lift at least 501bs.


Routine handling, dispensation and record keeping of persons served medications within established policies and guidelines.
Provide routine nursing assessments, care plans and monitor to implementation and compliance. Review care plans annually as needed for necessary modifications and updating.
Provide on-call services to assist with emergencies, care issue, and advisory services.
It is the company’s policy to protect the personal rights of all persons served. It is the responsibility of all staff to report any incident or situation that poses a threat to the service recipients’ health, safety or development, to the RN or the Regional Director, as well as the Administrative Office when appropriate.
Perform duties within nursing scope of practice
Able to perform lifesaving techniques as instructed in CPR and First Aid training.
Attend training upon hire and annually as required by regulatory agencies.
Participate in an agency wide Compliance Program to ensure services provided are consistent with services authorized per the individual or person centered plan.
Assure that documentation reflects only services delivered and that the billing and claims of services matches those authorized, delivered and documented.
All other duties assigned.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by RN, Regional Director or their designee.

One year of clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse is preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Valid New Mexico Nursing License
Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
TB Test/Health Review/Physical
Successful completion of the post-offer process including criminal history check, clear record of abuse or neglect, and professional references.
