The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service helps protect a healthy environment for people, fish and wildlife, and helps Americans conserve and enjoy the outdoors and our living treasures. The Service's major responsibilities are for migratory birds, endangered species, certain marine mammals, and freshwater and anadromous fish.

Develop and lead Environmental Education program for students. Greets and orients Refuge Visitors and assists with operation of the front desk including opening and closing the Visitor Center. Assists with development of interpretive talks and guided tour programs including vehicle operation. Operates and performs minor maintenance on audiovisual and other equipment. Reviews visitor use patterns and their effect on the resource; suggests changes in operation or facilities. Distribute maps, program brochures and other printed material and provides verbal information to visitors regarding refuge public use programs and opportunities. Assist with planning and executing the Annual "Drawn to Sevilleta" poster contest including working with Schools and partner organizations. Provides assistance with other Refuge projects, programs, etc. Assists with planning and executing the Annual Celebrate Sevilleta public event. Assist with other Refuge program
