Technology Support Center at ICT has an opening for a Help Desk Student/Computer Technician. The position will initially work with the ICT Helpdesk and Software licensing desk as well as the Work Order desk using customer service skills for serving our first level callers and customers for support. The computer tech position will entail troubleshooting software and hardware problems for computers and other related equipment and will depend on skill level and motivation after hire.
Must be available to work during the Summer months. Students will need to have excellent customer service skills. Students will also need to have great communication skills, be dependable, highly motivated, and have a strong desire to learn. Experience troubleshooting software and hardware problems, having a good working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows XP or later), Mac OSX 10.4 or later, and understanding of network protocols is desired. Students will need to be able to lift monitors, computers, and other related equipment, as needed.
