The position will work with the CAASS data analyst, providing technology support to the staff of the center. The role will require troubleshooting software and hardware problems for computers, printers, scanners, and other related equipment, and conducting regular software and hardware maintenance under the direction of the data analyst.
Undergraduate student, ideally sophomore CS, ET, or ICT major, with experience troubleshooting software and hardware problems, and a very strong working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7 or later) and the Microsoft Office Suite. Some familiarity with Linux operating systems and a basic understanding of network protocols is preferred. Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, be dependable, highly motivated, and have a strong desire to learn. Must be available to work during summer months. Must be able to lift monitors, computers, printers, and other related equipment, as needed.
