Throughout the country, universities are exploring models to combine career centers with a variety of functional areas, in and outside of the traditional student affairs realm.  This webinar will showcase two institutions, the University of Tampa, and Stetson University, where Career Services has merged with additional areas of academic advising, leadership, and engagement.  Learn about the decision making process leading up to this point as well as staffing, operational, and programming models.  Participants will hear about both the challenges and opportunities that come with such combinations, from a career center standpoint.

Tim Harding serves as the Associate Dean of Career Development and Engagement at the University of Tampa. He has been in the career services field for over 20 years  He has been an active member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers, Florida Association of Colleges and Employers, and is currently serving as Past-president of the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers. He serves on the Executive Committee of CareerSource Tampa Bay and chairs the Workforce Solutions Committee in Tampa.


Robin Kazmarek serves as the Associate Director of Career Development in the Career Development and Academic Advising office at Stetson University, and has been with the office for over 7 years assisting students and alumni with their career development plans. She started her career in higher education after completing her studies at Virginia Tech where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Development and a Masters of Arts in Education with a focus on Higher Education and Students Affairs. Since beginning her career, Robin has had the privilege of working in a variety of areas at public and private schools including Duke University, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt and Stetson.
