The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is scheduled to conduct interviews on Wednesday, December 5 and Thursday, December 6, 2012 at St. Edward’s University to fill one Environmental Investigator II position for our Waco Regional Office and one Environmental Permit Specialist I position for our Austin Central Office. These are full-time positions which pay $ 2,970.91 per month and include the state benefit package.

Interviews will be conducted on both days from 10:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., in Ragsdale Center, Room # 320, St. Edward’s University, 3001 South Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78704
The hiring managers are interested in interviewing candidates who-
-already have a bachelor's degree (or who will graduate December 2012) from an accredited college or university with a major in engineering (civil, mechanical), environmental science, environmental studies, hydrology, biology, chemistry, geology, geography-water, geography-resource and environmental for the Waco-based position.
-already have a bachelor’s degree (or who will graduate December 2012) from an accredited college or university with a major in engineering, environmental science, petroleum studies, geology, chemistry, or biology for the Austin-based position.
-are eligible to work in the US (regrettably, TCEQ does not sponsor visas for international students)
-are available to start working in late December 2012 or early January 2013 if extended a conditional job offer
-arrive with a completed State of Texas Employment Application -may be downloaded at http://www.twc.state.tx.us/jobs/gvjb/sota.html
Resumes alone will not be accepted in lieu of a completed state application
-bring a copy of official transcript so we may verify that the degree requirement has been met; students graduating December 2012 must bring a letter from their Registrar or Dean’s office which confirms they are on target to graduate with a specific degree
Interviews will be conducted on a first come/ first serve basis on both days. Interviews may end at any time on either day once conditional job offers have been extended. There is no guarantee that all qualified candidates attending the event will be interviewed.
