Great opportunity to work for Congressman Chaffetz in his Washington DC office. Students will become familiar with the functions and daily operation of the office of a United States Congressman.

Duties of an intern may include:
Assisting with the research and writing of constituent correspondence
Research on issues or agency policies
Answering constituent phone calls
Attend hearings and briefing meetings
Assisting with mailing projects
Greeting guests & constituents of our office and taking them on tours of the US capitol.

No political science courses are required, a student can be eligible if they have an understanding of basic politics: how laws are made, the structure and function of Congress, basic awareness of domestic and global events, and knowledge of Congressman Chaffetz’s political platform.

Attention to detail and professionalism are highly valued. This is an excellent opportunity for current college students or recent graduates interested in gaining experience in a congressional office.
